Hurley was granted her modeling first contract in age of 29 and has used her model for Estee Lader products since the year 1995. Vanessa Kensington was her most well-known role as a character in Mike Myers hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me(1999). Many critics argued that the track promoted same-sex sexual relations however others believed that the scene that depicted in it was more appealing to fantasies of males. Nevertheless the combination of sensuality and polished music made I Kissed a Girl become an instant hit across multiple countries, generating sales for her album One of the Boys (2008). Hot N Cold is a very popular track that is a second. Perry also wrote a lot of the lyrics for the album.
